Welcome Reception
All delegates are invited to join the ECFG9 Organising and International Committees at the Welcome Reception to be held at the Museum of Scotland from 19.00 to 21.00 on Saturday 5 April 2008. This Museum, housed in a landmark building with its Scottish Collections, tells the story of Scotland its land, its people and culture.

Whisky tasting
Whisky is an iconic product of Scotland that has been produced for many hundreds of years. A tasting will give you an understanding of the six different types of the drink ranging from the blended varieties – essentially mixtures of different whiskies to the Single Malts which is are products of different distilleries and each having a characteristic taste and flavour.
This event will take place on Monday 7 April at 19.30. Places at the tasting are limited and entry is by ticket which can be purchased on the registration form. The venue for this event will be announced later
Conference Dinner and Ceilidh
The Conference Dinner will bring ECFG9 to a close on the evening of Tuesday 8 April. The exciting venue for this event will be one of the more modern buildings in the City Dynamic Earth.
This and the Scottish Parliament, which is adjacent, are two of the most modern buildings in Edinburgh.

The venue is a spectacular exhibition which tells the story of the formation and evolution of earth. Delegates will be able to enjoy some of this experience as well as test their skills in Scottish dancing during the Ceilidh which will bring the event and the Conference to a lively and musical conclusion.
